Entries for IdejaX are open to all digital, design and production companies, while a new category of Mixx competition now gives publishers the opportunity to present their works at the festival. The best of both awards will also have the chance to compete in the prestigious competitions of Cannes Lions and Mixx Europe.
This year’s Days of Communication will be held from March 28th to March 31st in the traditional location, at Hotel Lone in Rovinj. As every year so far, organizers invite agencies to apply their projects to prestigious competitions IdejaX and Mixx.
The project that proves most successful at IdejaX and wins the Grand Prix, organizers will send to the Cannes Lions 2019 competition, while the Best in Show of Mixx will have the chance to compete at the Mixx Europe 2020 competition, the costs of which will also be covered by the festival organizers.
Croatia’s national creative competition IdejaX rewards the most original ideas that are unique and move the boundaries, regardless of the type of media in which they are realized, as well as for craft and execution, while on the other hand, within the Mixx contest, awards will be given to the best digital campaigns and digital tools / platforms in area of market communication.
Media Neutral is the name for a group of 11 categories per business categories of the industry in which clients operate (food, alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, trade and household, fashion, health and beauty, tourism, culture and leisure, telecommunications, financial and insurance services, social actions, corporate communications, and misc), thus showing the importance of advertisers in the competition.
This year’s IdejaX competition will be particularly appealing to digital experts, designers and production companies – for the first time, a new group called Craft is launched, which rewards digital, film and design categories. Ideas applied to any of the categories in this group will have to showcase their craft in producing outstanding solutions with innovative techniques and skills.
IdejaX is open to integrated campaigns as well as individual works, implemented from January 1, 2018 to March 4, 2019. Deadline for entries is March 10. For the three categories of the new group (Craft) the qualification period is longer, and lasts two years, starting on 1 January 2017.
The Mixx competition was created under the international IAB license, and rating criteria include creativity, strategy, performance and use of media, as well as achieved results. Each of these criteria is equally important when choosing the winner of this competition.
Entries for Mixx are open until February 22, 2019. All projects implemented from January 1, 2018 to March 1, 2019 are eligible to apply. The works will be judged by a jury consisting of professionals from all segments of the digital industry – strategy, creativity, production and media buying. The president of this year’s jury is Marko Črne from Omnicom Media Group Croatia, while the jury will have 12 representatives. Mixx also brings an important novelty this year, in the form of a new category in which publishers will be able to present their best works at the Days of Communication festival.
The winners of both competitions will be announced at the awards ceremony of Croatia’s national communications festival, Days of Communication, in Rovinj, 28 March to 31 March 2019.
