Mercator’s campaign Jump into Mercator, support the ski jumpers already last year was among the most notable ones in Slovenia. Therefore, this year’s wave of campaign was organized as one of the best Slovenian campaign to support athletes. In this action, Mercator wants to attract the general public who stands firmly with Slovenian Eagles, wanting to be part of their stories.
The campaign covered products of the We love local line, thus giving dual support: to ski jumping and local producers. On the We love local shelves there are already 900 kinds of products by more than 100 local manufacturers, farmers and 20 cooperatives. By buying local products under We love local campaign, consumers donate 30 cents in the Mercator fund for donations. The largest part is intended for Slovenian national team, and part is intended for young talents in the local clubs.
By buying We love local products, each buyer receives on their receipt a special code which can be entered on the Mercator website to vote for the selected local club. Six clubs with the highest number of votes will be rewarded by Mercator with donations that will facilitate the training process.
