Mercator Slovenia is launching a nationwide movement, Heartfelt Neighborly Community, which runs from November 14 to December 31, 2024. This Mercator initiative connects Mercator customers, local societies, communities, and suppliers to support those who, through their efforts and dedication, enhance the quality of life in their surroundings. Based on the number of votes received, Mercator will reward 20 selected societies with a total of €150,000. The society with the most votes will receive €75,000, the second €12,000, the third €8,000, societies in 4th to 10th places will receive €5,000 each, and those in 11th to 20th places will receive €2,000 each.

During the campaign, customers who purchase products marked with Heartfelt Neighborly Community at Mercator will receive a special code on each purchase receipt. This code allows voting for one of the 20 societies participating in the distribution of the €150,000 donation. Each society represents a vital pillar of local communities across Slovenia – whether they support youth, the ill, volunteers, rescuers, people with disabilities, or athletes.
