The McCann Oslo creative team Adam Billyeald and Jørgen Lauré have created the new communication concept “Alene om smaken” (roughly translated to “Unparalleled taste”) for Norwegian caviar brand Mills Kaviar.
The epic TVC was made in collaboration with production company Babusjka and director Thomas Anker, as well as music supervisor Goran Obad from Ohlogy. The film was shot in the arctic Lofoten islands, to document the caviar’s origin.
“The brief was very clear. Nobody can beat Mills’ raw ingredients and unique recipe. The 12 month barrel ageing and smoking process, gives the caviar a matured flavor that 70% of Norway simply loves,” says Eirik Mikalsen, account manager in McCann Oslo.
He describes his time on location in Lofoten as “one of the best weeks I’ve ever had”.
“The focus is on the origin of our product, and we’re lucky to be able to use the world’s most beautiful place as the evidence,” says product manager Camilla Hegrestad in Mills.
The song in the film is an adaptation of an over two hundred year old sailor’s work song, a so called “sea shanty”.
