After successful work for Lidl in Croatia and Portugal over the last six years, and a great campaign for Lidl’s entry on the Lithuanian market, in which the main role is played by the legendary Lithuanian basketball player Arvydas Sabonis, Croatian full service agency Real Grupa continued the excellent collaboration with the retail chain Lidl Lithuania.
They thus once again proved that Croatian creative agencies have much to offer to foreign companies. In early January, Lidl has launched a major new campaign called “Freshness” that promotes Lidl’s guiding principle – “only the freshest products are good enough to be sold in Lidl stores.” The campaign shows five categories of fresh ingredients: meat, fish, fruit and vegetables, dairy and bakery products.
Part of the team that worked on the “Freshness” campaign was the famous Dutch cameraman and director Ronald Koetzier, one of the most experienced craftsmen specializing in high-speed imaging techniques. In addition to being visually impressive, presenting fresh food in TV commercials in slow-motion inspires and encourages a healthy lifestyle. Lifestyle directors Marko Đilas and Radislav Jovanov Gonzo, director of photography Sven Pepeonik, food stylists Škuf and Gaga and Real’s art director and photographer Josip Matić are just a part of the team engaged in the campaign. In order to make the message even stronger, legendary Sabonis tasted and confirmed the quality and freshness of shown Lidl products. During the five days of shooting of this comprehensive campaign, about 20 different sets of food preparation were recorded.
“All the food in this campaign was real, and presented through attractive shots, which leaves a very modern and attractive impression. The quality is something that Lidl never compromises on, so it’s not surprising that they decided to hire top professionals. We are proud that we were able to introduce products from Lidl just as they are – top of the line and uncompromisingly fresh,” said Maro Pitarević, creative director of the Real Grupa.
