At the lecture for 500 marketing professionals, held in Belgrade within the Direct Media Academy, the world’s leading Trendwatching marketing experts presented the main trends as a recommendation to brands, media and marketing agencies.
To offer a service or product that will make life easier for people, even using artificial intelligence, being present everywhere and at all times in completely new places and in new contexts, connecting people with people who share the same interests, changing your company for the better from within (and talking about it!) and finally, being different and unpredictable – these are five global trends in marketing for 2018.
“Consumer behavior and their expectations are changing faster than ever. We need to recognize what the expectations are, before they affect the business. We need to greet them and innovate our product or service. In an environment where changes are happening quickly, you must also become an observer of consumers and the trends they bring,” said David Mattin, Trendwatching’s global head of trends and insights.
Director of Direct Media System, Jovan Stojanović, said that monitoring trends is important in marketing that connects companies and consumers, as well as constant work on oneself through learning.
“A few years ago we founded the Direct Media Academy whose goal is to help us be better in our business, and today we have opened it for the wider marketing public for the first time. We want to share some of our expertise with the profession and to strengthen our brands and the whole market through better communication. In order to keep on track of new knowledge, this time we are assisted by visiting Trendwatching team’s lecturers who bring their take on the global trends that we will see in the coming years,” Stojanović said.
