How important is our sense of belonging and acceptance in life? Answer comes from Heineken Croatia and Bruketa&Žinić&Grey Agency in the new communication platform for Karlovačko beer.
The platform follows friends, families and smaller communities, and intends to talk about the real human stories that we all go through sooner or later. It recalls that only by tolerance, acceptance and understanding we can achieve a happy society of satisfied individuals.
One such real story was told in the new TVC, in which we follow a city boy who comes to the village with his girlfriend to meet her family.
Since things like this almost never go smoothly in real life, he faces unexpected situations in which he doesn’t cope really well, but after initial suspicion and prejudice, with one significant rite of initiation he is accepted into the family circle. He comes into his own.
Film was directed by BAFTA winning director Niall McCormick, a Scotsman who has been living in Zagreb for almost 20 years. The music is by Tamara Obrovac, a Croatian musician, the winner of Porin, nominated for the BBC 3 World Music Award, whose unique expression perfectly fits this story.
