Joško Gvardiol Fronts New Hydra Vital Pineapple & Lime Campaign

A new variant of Hydra Vital has arrived on the Croatian market accompanied by the “Slide into Hydration” campaign, fronted by Croatian international footballer Joško Gvardiol.

The latest product from the portfolio of Zagrebačka pivovara combines pineapple and lime flavours, with the company reporting a positive consumer response since its launch.

Already visible across various media channels, the “Slide into Hydration” campaign draws inspiration from Joško Gvardiol’s distinctive playing style, connecting his energy on the pitch with the message of staying hydrated throughout everyday activities.

“The ‘Slide into Hydration’ campaign felt like a natural fit for me because it’s relaxed and different. I’m happy that people have recognised that positive energy, as well as the new pineapple and lime flavour, which is also my personal favourite,” said Joško Gvardiol.

According to Zlatko Novaković, Senior Brand Manager at Zagrebačka pivovara, the idea behind the campaign was to connect the brand’s character with Gvardiol’s style of play.

“Hydra’s new campaign naturally combines Joško’s recognisable playing style with the brand’s character. Just as Joško effortlessly slides into tackles on the pitch, Hydra naturally slides into everyday moments when refreshment is needed. At the same time, Hydra Vital Pineapple & Lime brings a completely new dimension of freshness and flavour, which we can already see has become a favourite among many consumers,” said Zlatko Novaković.

Since its launch, Hydra has positioned itself as a functional beverage aimed at professional athletes, recreational sports enthusiasts and consumers with active lifestyles. The new Hydra Vital Pineapple & Lime joins the existing Hydra ISO and Hydra UP variants, available in lemon and orange flavours.

The beverage is made from natural ingredients and contains B-complex vitamins, as well as vitamins C and E. The company highlights that it supports normal energy-yielding metabolism, while containing only 16 kcal per 100 ml.

The new flavour is already available in retail stores and hospitality venues across Croatia.
