There has been another I&F McCann Corner event – a series of lectures organized in a collaboration between the American Corner Belgrade and I&F McCann Group. The goal is to get high school and university students, young entrepreneurs, as well as any other interested people, more familiar with the skills in the field of communications that will help them in their professional and career development.
At this event, participants had the opportunity to hear lectures from Dragana Marković, Una Kostandinović and Sanja Gajić, digital specialists from the agency Drive, which operates within the I&F McCann Group, who talked on the subject of the Social Media Manager profession. Unlike the first, introductory lectures, where participants learned about the profession, this time there was the opportunity to learn how campaigns on digital media are developed, created and implemented. At the end of the lecture, they had the opportunity to apply what they’d learned about digital marketing through workshops.
“Social networks are a very complex communication and marketing channel, and therefore management of these channels on behalf of a brand means much more than just posting pictures. That implies, first and foremost, that a Social Media Manager must be familiar with all aspects of the brand, to create and implement a strategy that will lead to interaction and achieve the business goals of the brand on social networks,” said one of the trainers Dragana Marković, Business Development Manager, Drive.
During the workshop, Dragana Marković, Una Kostandinović and Sonja Gajić led the participants through the process of the planning and appearance on social networks with practical examples. Participants then had the opportunity to solve a case study on their own, and learn the characteristics of the profession of Social Media Manager in an interactive way.
“The spots for this training were filled much faster than we expected. We continued to receive registrations for the workshop even after the announcement that participation for this event had reached its maximum,” said Sandra Nikolić, program coordinator of the American Corner Belgrade, adding “such audience interest dictated the topic for this lecture in a way, so we are looking forward to the next I&F McCann Corner which will be dedicated to digital marketing and use of digital channels.”
Through this series of lectures, I&F McCann Corner teaches participants about the communications, PR, human resources, media, creative and digital industries. All those interested in the I&F McCann Corner lectures can apply via e-mail: beograd@americancorners.rs. Lectures are held in the Youth Center in Belgrade, on the last Wednesday of the month.
