After bringing together top speakers from OpenAI, Tinder, and other leading global tech companies last year, this fall’s edition of AI.Weekend is raising the bar once again. From September 18 to 21, Rovinj will once more become the center of the region’s most important conversations on artificial intelligence- with a special focus on innovations emerging from the heart of Silicon Valley and global tech giants like TikTok.
AI.Weekend is not just a platform for discussion- it’s a space where ideas are born that have the potential to reshape reality. According to the organizers, this year’s keynote speaker will be Sheel Mohnot, a prominent Silicon Valley venture capitalist and partner at Better Tomorrow Ventures. He is one of the most influential and recognizable voices in the global startup ecosystem.
‘As an investor, podcaster, and innovator with deep experience in the fintech sector, Sheel brings a unique perspective on how the world’s top investors think when they back technologies that are already changing the way we live and work. His insights into AI, innovation, and risk management will undoubtedly be one of the festival’s most powerful and inspiring moments’, the organizers said.
The stage at AI.Weekend will also welcome a representative from one of the world’s most influential digital platforms – TikTok. Łukasz Gabler, TikTok’s Manager for Public Policy and Government Relations for the CEE region, will talk about how advanced AI solutions are being implemented in digital products, and how global companies are rapidly adopting and scaling these technologies, fundamentally changing the way they do business.
This year’s new Program Director is Nikola Pavešić, an experienced advisor and expert on the regional startup and tech scene, bringing a strategic focus and international relevance to the program’s development.
‘AI doesn’t ask for permission- it changes everything around us at a pace we can barely keep up with. As Program Director, my goal isn’t to organize just another tech conference with vague content. It’s to bring in the people who are building that future right now and who can show attendees real-world applications across industries and aspects of life. Through preparation and effort, we’re bringing in investors who fund the AI revolution, developers building the tools we use every day, and leaders who are tasked with implementing AI in traditional industries. Rovinj won’t be a place for theory- it will be where decisions are made that shape the years ahead. And we’re incredibly excited about that’, Pavešić said.
In addition to speakers like Mohnot and Gabler, a strong regional lineup is also expected. Božidar Pavlović, partner at AYMO Ventures, will provide an in-depth look at the world of venture capital, investment, and funding of AI innovation. Ervin Jagatić, Product Director at Infobip, will focus on product strategy development in the AI era and the challenges of scaling AI solutions.
The lineup will also include Josip Ćesić, co-founder and CEO of Gideon, who will share firsthand experiences in developing cutting-edge deep tech solutions, and Srđan Kovačević, co-founder and CEO of Orqa, who will reveal what goes into building a globally successful Croatian hardware product and how their brand is changing the way the world experiences FPV (first-person view) technology.
