What does a competition look like in which previous technical knowledge is not essential, but rather the ability to find a solution to a real problem with the help of AI tools? Hrvatski Telekom, agency 404 and SheepAI are building SHAKER, Croatia’s first vibe coding competition, around precisely that idea.
Six teams of young people will take part in the competition and receive the same task live, namely an everyday problem they need to “hack” with the help of AI. Their solutions will be evaluated by a jury, while the teams will share a prize fund of EUR 15,000.
SHAKER, however, is not conceived solely as a competition. The entire event will be filmed, and audiences will then be able to follow it through episodes published on Hrvatski Telekom’s social media profiles.
The project is part of the AIMO! platform, through which HT introduces young people to knowledge and AI tools and encourages their use in everyday life. It is also connected to the message of the Nisi samo putnik campaign, aimed at encouraging young people to take initiative and choose their own path.
For the first edition of SHAKER, participants between the ages of 18 and 29 are being sought. Previous knowledge is not a requirement, and applications are open until September 20 via the SHAKER website: https://shaker.hrvatskitelekom.hr/#prijavi-se
