Hennessy has created its first Oscars ad for their iconic cognac brand, with the help of another staple name of Hollywood, Sir Ridley Scott.
The brand is promoting its Hennessy X.O (which stands for Extra Old – liquors that are aged over 40 years) with the epic “Seven Worlds” four-minute film in which the famed director showed his craft in sci-fi odysseys.
The spot takes the viewer through the seven notes of X.O., each represented with impressive imagery and special effects. A clear nod to the Oscars comes in the shape of colossal figures that remind of the Academy’s awards.
During the Oscars, a 60 second version of the spot will be aired, but we believe that you simply have to watch the four minute version to experience its full glory.
