Nordeus, an independent game development studio and creator of one of the most popular sports games, Top Eleven, announced that their campaign Head vs. Heart Euro 2016, with Jose Mourinho in the lead role, entered the final round of the competition for the best digital campaign in the Online Advertising category at the sixth Lovie Awards, which are held every year. Nordeus is the only gaming company nominated along with some of the largest global brands in various fields.
“Our goal was to get extra million people, who have never tried Top Eleven, to play our football manager. And how else to do it than by hiring Jose Mourinho and put the focus on Euro 2016. The creative idea behind this campaign is based on human nature. Managers make decisions that are based either on hard facts, or on personal instinct. Thanks to teamwork and our partners, our Head vs Heart video has become the most watched Top Eleven video and content that was most shared online. Now we can’t wait to see if the new managers will play listening to their head or their heart,” said Marko Jevtić, marketing manager of Top Eleven in Nordeus.
Contest for the Lovie Award, organized by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS), is the most prestigious award in Europe for outstanding contribution to the development of web sites, online advertising, online video content, mobile apps and social networks. IADAS jury, which selects the winners of Lovie competition, is composed of experts in the internet industry, including Chester Chipperfield (global creative director at Tesla), musician Imogen Heap, Dan Howell (author of YouTube channel Danisnotonfire), Stephen Fry, Vic Hayes (creator of Wi-Fi), Robin Chase (founder of Buzzcar) and Corinne Vigreux (co-founder of TomTom).
“Head vs. Heart Euro 2016 campaign really stood out in its category, showing how powerful digital innovation and creativity can be,” said Nicolas Roope, CEO of IADAS. “This award is a confirmation of expertise, ingenuity and vision of its creators.”
