Google Shopping Ads is becoming available in 15 new markets during 2026, including Bosnia and Herzegovina. The rollout, which begins in July, opens new space for online shops and e-commerce agencies that want to display their products directly in search results, with images, prices and shop names.
The new markets include Cyprus, Luxembourg, Moldova, North Macedonia, Malta, Liechtenstein, Bulgaria, Croatia, Lithuania, Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Estonia and Latvia. For retailers in these countries, this means entering a channel that already plays an important role in online retail in more developed e-commerce markets.
For customers, Google Shopping works simply. When they search for products through Google Search, product ads appear in front of them with a visual display of the product, the price and the name of the shop, making the process of comparing offers faster and clearer.
For retailers, however, it is not only about products appearing in search. In Europe, Shopping Ads are displayed through a price comparison service known as Google CSS, or Comparison Shopping Service, which means that the way the system is set up can affect costs, product visibility and long-term campaign control.
This is why an important opportunity opens up for agencies and online shops from the very beginning. Companies that immediately set up their own CSS infrastructure, instead of relying on Google Shopping Europe or generic third-party solutions, can build their presence with more control over budgets, branding and the way their products are shown to users.
The first months after the launch could be especially important for new participants. Competition is still forming, advertising costs are not yet fully established, and campaign data is only beginning to be collected, so retailers that enter the system earlier can gain an advantage before the market becomes more saturated.
Specialized companies such as Label Up help agencies and online shops in this process to set up their own CSS infrastructure and make use of the advantages of early entry into new markets. For the e-commerce sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as in the region, the arrival of Google Shopping Ads could become an important moment for the development of product advertising and the professionalization of online sales.
The expansion of Google Shopping Ads is planned in two phases during 2026. The first markets should be included for the back-to-school season, while additional countries are expected in the period before the holiday season.
