Organizers of the Golden Drum International Festival of Creativity are preparing a “priceless experience” for their delegates this year. Namely, one of the partners of this year’s Golden Drum is Mastercard, thanks to which the jubilee 25th edition of the festival will be the first completely cashless creative festival in history.
“During the festival delegates will be able to use their Mastercard or Maestro® card to unlock different priceless specials, experiences, surprises, and causes inside and outside the festival venue,” the organizers announced.
Organizers invite visitors to join them and co-create the First Cashless Creative Festival, by entering a cash-free payment zone and using their card for all purchases: drinks, food, and everything else. They will also provide high-tech Ninebot segways for visitors to explore new possibilities in and around Portorož and Piran.
After a night of heavy “networking”, visitors will be able to start their day at the Beach Chill Zone, and enjoy a relaxing morning at the Hotel Slovenija beach: a detoxing smoothie, a comfortable beach chair and calm ambient music will get you ready for more festival activities.
During the festival, visitors can also hunt for special deals at selected merchants in Portorož, available when paying with Mastercard or Maestro. Want to grab something to eat? Need a quick make-over or a haircut before the award ceremony? They got your back.
But the collaboration also goes beyond just the festival activities. It also offers a humanitarian side, enabling visitors to save lives with their credit or debit card. At the festival, Mastercard will have their interactive display where visitors can donate funds for the World Food Programme project using company’s contactless technology.
“With Golden Drum and Mastercard this year you can treat yourself with priceless experiences. Make your own olive oil, visit local wine cellars, enjoy a fish feast with the fishermen, fly over the Sečovlje Salina Nature Park, or join a hellish dinner with the Devil himself,” the organizer announce, adding that all cashless experiences of the festival will be featured in the official Golden Drum app soon.
