Golden Drum this year marks a quarter of a century of existence and is also returning to Portorož, a city that is closely tied to the concept of the international festival of New Europe. The twenty-fifth Golden Drum brings a new energy, a renewed competition program, and a new visual identity that will adorn it in the long run. So far, the visual identity of the festival has changed many times and it was therefore decided to create a new one, conceived simply, clearly and universally; such an approach allows for long-term use and in different contexts. This responsibility was taken over by the agency Luna \ TBWA Ljubljana.
Creatives at Luna started from the image of a drum and a stick. They simplified the image and stylized it so that its appearance reflects three connotative changes simultaneously: the drum with the stick, the echo and the letter G. The expressed minimalism, artistic purity, modernity and color code clarity give the new identity a sense of timelessness and recognizability, so that it can become and remain a constant of the Festival for a long time.
Based on the new visual identity, new and different communication is emerging that excites attention and will be revealed shortly.
