The sixth edition of the largest communications industry festival in the Adriatic region, the Days of Communication, will take place from 12 to 15 of April, 2018, and the host-city will once again be Rovinj, in the creative ambience of Hotel Lone. Due to the great interest in the festival, the complete offer of the Lone Hotel last year was sold out in just three weeks. Therefore, this year the organizers are calling on all others to plan their trip to Rovinj as soon as possible, and to book their accommodation and festival registration.
The high expectations of the new edition have already been confirmed by the Festival director, Dunja Ivana Ballon, who announced the symbiosis of technology and creativity as the theme of the sixth edition of the Days of Communication: “Last year was a record year by all measures, and this year we are preparing certainly the best edition of the festival so far. We are intensively working on a rich program focusing on technology that, in conjunction with top-notch ideas, gives killer results. That is why we will again bring the top experts from around the world to talk about the hot topics of our industry, innovations, technology, ideas and data management.”
This year’s Festival broke all the records
The previous edition of the festival broke all the records – 2,400 delegate registrations were made, and 98% of the participants recommended the festival to their colleagues and said they wanted to return next year. A total of 227 projects entered the competition, and the festival also awarded a record number of awards, 50 of them, selected by over 40 members of the jury. During the three days of the festival, visitors had the opportunity to soak up the knowledge from as many as 16 international lecturers with excellent reviews, including political consultant Alex Braun, founder of The Pirate Bay Peter Sunde, co-founder of CP+B Chuck Porter, Natasha Jen of design studio Pentagram and many others. Over 90 companies and institutions supported the project, which also confirms the status of the Days of Communication as the most important trade event of the market communications industry in Croatia.
In addition to lectures by renowned experts from the advertising and public relations industry, the Days of Communication program is also known for prestigious award competitions such as Effie, IdejaX, Mixx and Young Lions, and unforgettable concerts and parties. As in previous years, the festival will attract a large number of advertisers, agencies, public relations experts, media representatives, students and all other professionals from the communications industry.
Early bird registrations and accommodation applications will be open until 13 February, 2017. Accommodation at the Lone Hotel can then be reserved at special prices exclusively for festival participants, and all who will stay in Lone will receive an additional discount on the Festival tickets of 300 HRK per person.
