Futura DDB has been named Agency of the Year at the 35th edition of the Slovenian Advertising Festival – SOF, marking the fifteenth time in the festival’s history that the agency has received one of the Slovenian communications industry’s most prestigious recognitions. The award further reinforces its long-standing position as one of the most successful and influential agencies in the Slovenian market.
Following the recognition, Gregor Firbas, CEO of Futura DDB, commented on the importance of consistency over individual success.
“In the 35 years that SOF has awarded the Agency of the Year title, we have won it fifteen times. For an agency that has existed for almost four decades, that continuity is the most important indicator of value. It means that across different generations of clients, talent and market changes, we have managed to remain ambitious and relevant thanks to long-term thinking, shared values and a refusal to settle.”
Firbas also emphasized that the agency has spent years building brands not only through visibility and creative output, but through real market value and cultural relevance.
As he explains, the agency’s focus has consistently remained on understanding consumer behaviour, how audiences make decisions and build relationships with brands, creating experiences and activations that connect brands with audiences in more meaningful and lasting ways.
“Our team raises the bar every day, and our clients trust us when we choose the braver route because they understand that this kind of work delivers both visibility and business results. The strategic precision and creative boldness that win awards are the same qualities that build brands in the long run.”
Speaking about regional ambitions, Firbas also noted that Futura DDB was recently named Slovenia’s Agency of the Year at BalCannes, adding that recognitions like these further strengthen the agency’s regional focus.
He particularly highlighted the creative scenes of Sarajevo, Zagreb and Belgrade, which he believes are among the most distinctive in Europe today, while adding that the agency plans to further expand partnerships across the region and strengthen its regional presence in the coming years.
