The fourth meeting of the president and directors of the national advertising associations of the Adriatic region was held on Thursday in Ljubljana. To recall, the first meeting was held at the initiative and organized by Media Marketing in 2014, at the time when Media Marketing organized The Cup in Belgrade. The next meeting was held again in Belgrade, organized by UEPS (2016), the next host was HURA (2017) and SOZ this year.
The meeting in Ljubljana was attended by: Matevž Šmalc, Saša Leben, Ana Predovič and Mojca Briščik (Slovenian Advertising Chamber), Davor Bruketa and Dunja Ivana Ballon (Croatian Association of Market Communications Agencies), Viktor Nikolić, Vanda Kučera and Stana Šehalić (Serbian Association of Market Communications Agencies), Sašo Pešev and Elena Stefanova (MAAM Skopje) and Ekrem Dupanović, Editor in Chief of Media Marketing as a guest.
The meeting in Ljubljana took place in great atmosphere that dominated already at the joint lunch, and continued on a three-hour meeting and the joint dinner at the prestigious Ljubljana restaurant Maxim. Kudos to SOZ for such great organization.
Most of the meeting was devoted to the presentation of each association, the advertising markets they cover, their problems and perspectives.
Part of the meeting dedicated to the implementation of the conclusions from the last meeting in Zagreb was very brief given that nothing was done on the implementation of the conclusions, and these conclusions were marked as a priority until the next meeting to be held next year. The question is whether it is possible to determine individual tasks if the values to which the associations are committed, their mission and vision on the regional plan are not defined, as well as the benefits that members of these associations would have from achieving these values. On that occasion, it was agreed that within seven days each association would send five proposals for drafting a common document to be adopted by the shortened procedure.
