Focus, the first international conference on communication in public administration, will be held on 1 December, 2017 in Terme Tuhelj, organized by the communications management agency Apriori World. Under the motto ‘closer to people,’ the conference will serve as a platform for networking, sharing knowledge and experiences, and defining the methods of new communication processes.
Programme of the Focus will include lectures of communication professionals in the institutions of the European Union, as well as lecturers from countries that are only in the phase of accession negotiations with the European Union.
The whole day conference will begin with a panel discussion on the topic of strategic communication and public administration. The debate will be moderated by Dražen Dretar, and it will be attended by experts employed in county offices and institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Administration, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Croatia.
This will be followed by international examples from practice of the countries of Slovenia, Montenegro and Croatia. The conference will also host Alessandro Buttice from the European Commission, after whose lecture Ian Farrow and Christos Pishias from Westco Ltd. will explain to participants how they manage communications in Westminster.
The stage will then be taken by Ekrem Dupanović, whose lecture will be followed by the topic of innovation in the digital space discussed by Ivan Radošić from Tapoint and Nino Lulić from the Social Wizard.
Also, successful examples of communication of projects of cities and counties will be mentioned, among them the experiences of the Krapina-Zagorje County, Croatia, Municipality Stari Grad Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Municipality of Maribor, Slovenia.
At the end of the conference, PR experts Krešimir Macan, Nataša Cesarec Salopek and Elvis Mujanović will raise the question of the need of PR agencies in public administration.
