Several-weeks long educational program for students in the field of communications, media and advertising called DM Smart Lab has been concluded with a competition of students of the Faculty of Organizational Sciences in Belgrade in solving case studies. The aim of this training organized by the Direct Media is to introduce students to brand communication in practice.
DM Smart Lab began a series of lectures by execs and employees of Direct Media for talented members of the Case Study Club, who record great success participating in world competitions in solving business case studies. At the end of the program, the students tested their knowledge by solving case studies for brand Imlek, and the company Moji Brendovi.
“As a communication agency with fifteen years of experience, we want to convey to students practical knowledge and further raise the level of their readiness to meet the challenges in dealing with case studies on the world championships. During the program, students showed excellent knowledge of marketing, but also a strong commitment and desire to learn more, so we hope that this training will be of use to them,” said Jovan Stojanović, CEO of Direct Media Belgrade.
On the last day of training, eight student teams had fifteen minutes to solve and present solutions of a given situation to the jury, and convince them that it is the best solution for the company. Among the members of the jury were representatives of Direct Media and companies Moji Brendovi and Imlek, as well as marketing experts Vesna Radaković and Jovan Bugarčić.
During the training, which lasted a total of four weeks, students learned from employees of Direct Media about the advertising ecosystem and the role of advertising agencies, market research, media planning in the ad campaign, the innovative use of digital media and communication in social networks. Trainers were communication experts from the Direct Media System: Jovan Stojanović, head of the Digital sector Sanja Lalević Cvetković, Nevena Kurtović, director of the Agency of integrated communication Fusion Communications, Brana Kosanić, Group Account Manager and Jovan Vujović, Account Planner.
DM Smart Lab is part of the strategic concept of cooperation with students conducted by Direct Media in order to contribute to the development of young talents in communication industry, and monitor the development of the best, with the possibility of their professional practice, and then the potential employment in the Direct Media System.
