With every passing year the Adriatic region’s most important digital award, SoMo Borac, is growing and progressing within the Weekend Media Festival. This year the fifth SoMo Borac will thus bring a host of novelties, with the most interesting being that after four years of free registration entries will be charged as of this year. The price per entry is €99, and as the organizers say, the fees will ensure even higher quality of SoMo Borac today and in the future.
One of the important novelties is also a somewhat larger regional jury that, as before, will be composed of experts from the top agencies. The organizational team also involved a behavioral psychologist who helped improve the whole system. Changes have also been made in the categories, so new categories SoMo Web and SoMo App will reward the best websites and the best mobile apps.
“I think that the most important change is in the rating system, because it will enable even better quality judging,” said Ružica Vrdoljak Ličina, one of the organizers of SoMo Borac, and added: “We change the categories every now and then because the digital world is changing rapidly, and requires us to do the same. SoMo Borac grew up a bit and after four years we are much more experienced, so we already know that the fifth SoMo Borac will be the strongest and the best so far.”
Again this year at the Weekend Media Festival we will find out what were the best digital works in the region, and the entries are already open and last until 7 September. Find all the other news about SoMo Borac on the updated SoMo site at www.somoborac.com.
This year’s 10th Weekend Media Festival is held from September 21st to 24th in the premises of the old Tobacco Factory in Rovinj, under the general sponsorship of Adris Group. Along with lectures and discussions, Weekend is traditionally reserved for parties and networking that will be raised to a whole new level this year with numerous surprises adapted to the great anniversary.
