In the presence of numerous guests from all over Europe, representatives of leading international and domestic corporations, media companies, advertising agencies and employees from eight countries in which it operates, Direct Media System celebrated its 15th anniversary of successful business.
Regional expansion, pushing borders in the advertising industry and corporate social responsibility, marked the first fifteen years of the largest media system in the region of South East Europe. Direct Media was created in 2001 in Serbia, as a media agency that for years collected awards for success in business, and today operates in Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Albania, Croatia, Slovenia, and Bulgaria.
Through continuous improvement of expertise and internal development of tools, Direct Media has managed to set the highest standards in media advertising in the region, despite the fact that it does not belong to any global agency chain. Among the many innovations they introduced to the market of media and advertising are new advertising formats, such as the first TV bumpers in Serbia and the first Augmented Reality ad campaigns in the region. As a leader in advertising on digital communication channels, Direct Media was the first in Serbia to bring advertising to Twitter, it had created the first Programmatic network in Serbia and, using virtual reality, it created the award-winning virtual bankers for the first online bank in Serbia.
“In the inevitable evolution of business and the way we communicate, the most successful retain what they are at their core. This company is made of multidisciplinary communications professionals who constantly work on themselves, producing quality and contributing to the success of our partners. At the same time we work together with the media, pushing the entire market forward. This is a celebration of that joint leadership – a title acquired in 15 years of continuous success of Direct Media and all of our partners,” said Jovan Stojanović, CEO of Direct Media Serbia.
Through the program of donations to vulnerable groups, Direct Media has helped nearly a hundred families, while the scholarship program included many young athletes from which many are today World and Olympic champions. It has been a partner of the National Association of Parents of Children with Cancer (NURDOR), it is a communication partner of the award-winning campaign Battle for Babies, as well as the donor of the Novak Djokovic Foundation. In the year of Jubilee, Direct Media donated the Experience Tesla, first exhibition of virtual reality dedicated to the great scientist Nikola Tesla, to the Museum of Nikola Tesla in Belgrade, and conducted a series of volunteer activities with its employees in the countries of the region in which it operates.
