Although it is best known for the campaigns and successes of the advertising agency Imago Ogilvy, the Imago Group also has in its family the successful production company Riba ribi grize rep, the Projektil event agency, and the digital agency Jedinica i nula. The newest member to join the Imago Group is now the Drap agency.
Drap is the first Croatian agency that seriously engaged in advertising in digital media, and through its years of high-quality work, it has realized numerous digital campaigns for which it won domestic and international prizes. In that exact domain of excellence, Imago’s and Drap’s visions matched, which resulted in this latest acquisition. Thanks to Drap’s knowledge and experience in community and social management, and their innovative tech, Imago will further expand the package of services it offers clients, and will make it even easier to persuade clients to realize every idea in a quality manner across communication channels.
Imago and Drap collaboration has lasted for years now, and how successful it is can be best described with the fact that Drap was the digital partner on the Wing of Love campaign that brought the first Cannes Lion to Croatia.
The process of acquisition will be finalized in September, so this autumn Imago and Drap will jointly launch new campaigns and go on the hunt for new Lions.
“Integrated approach to communication is Imago’s way of thinking from the very beginning, almost 26 years ago. Through this acquisition, we want to accelerate the introduction of innovative technological solutions in the communications we are creating, thus pioneering the development of marketing communications in the region, as well as implementing the new Ogilvy strategy by placing focus on digital and tech expertise,” said Damir Ciglar, CEO of Imago Group.
Davor Runje, CEO of the agency Drap, commented on joining Imago: “The focus on new tech and innovations in these ten years was the key to success in creating the most awarded digital agency in this region, but I deeply believe that technology is not and cannot be an island for itself, and for further development we need to integrate with a strong communication agency. Imago Ogilvy, as one of the most creative agencies with whom we have a very successful long-term collaboration, was a natural choice for this step.”
