Online business is a key driver of the modern economy, enabling faster business development and connecting local markets with global ones. In Bosnia and Herzegovina, its potential creates opportunities for growth and innovation, and in this context, the eCommerce Day 2024 conference plays a crucial role in bringing together experts and strengthening this vital sector.
This year’s conference agenda, scheduled for November 28, 2024, at the Sarajevo City Hall, is strategically designed to provide the audience, companies, and professionals with deeper insights into key aspects of the eCommerce sector. The goal is to ensure that attendees gain practical tools, knowledge, and inspiration that they can immediately apply in their daily business operations. Through diverse topics and dynamic discussions, the event offers an opportunity to explore current trends, challenges, and opportunities shaping the future of digital commerce in Bosnia and Herzegovina and beyond.
Belma Agić, Executive Director of the eCommerce Association in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is hosting and organizing the conference, emphasizes the aim of delivering practical value to participants:
“Our focus is on providing relevant content that directly addresses the needs of companies operating in or aspiring to enter eCommerce. The agenda has been created to cover topics such as logistics, digital payments, ESG strategies, the development of cross-border trade, and the digitalization of public institutions. Through carefully selected panels and lectures, we aim to equip attendees with knowledge and insights that will help them improve their business operations and achieve long-term competitiveness.”
In addition to the diverse topics covered in this year’s agenda, Agić highlights that one of the central segments will focus on global trends reshaping the eCommerce industry:
“One segment of the conference is dedicated to the phenomenon of Temu, whose entry into our market, following the significant growth of online sales during the pandemic, represents the biggest disruption in e-commerce to date. Through the segment ‘Topic in Focus,’ participants will have the opportunity to learn how this giant has set new standards in online sales, as well as how local companies, such as X-Express, are adapting to the demands of this market. As the first courier service in Bosnia and Herzegovina to handle logistics services for Temu, X-Express will share its experiences and challenges in this innovative collaboration.”

The President of the eCommerce Association in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Orhan Gazibegović, underscores the continued success and growth of the conference, now in its third edition:
“With each new edition of eCommerce Day, we strive to raise the bar by bringing together a wide range of experts and pioneers from various segments of digital commerce. Panelists and keynote speakers from leading companies will share knowledge and experiences essential for understanding transformations in the eCommerce sector. This diversity of perspectives and approaches enables participants to firsthand experience the breadth and depth of expertise needed to turn challenges into opportunities. Our goal is to ensure that all attendees gain not only new knowledge but also inspiration and tools to advance their businesses and remain competitive in the market.”
With a rich agenda and exceptional panelists, this event lays the groundwork for new opportunities in digital commerce, offering attendees key insights and tools to advance their business and strengthen their market competitiveness.
