RSVP, the only regional festival specializing in event industry, will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, 7th and 8th of February in Zagreb Plaza Event Center (ex Hypo Centre). Organizers expect that the two-day program, dedicated to the technologies used in the event industry and event tourism as well as all events that contribute to development of tourist destinations, will bring together around 500 event experts and representatives of industries related to the organization of events. On the second day of RSVP, the first annual ATTEND Award for the best regional events in eight categories will be awarded. The festival is supported by the Valamar Riviera, the largest tourism company in Croatia.
The first day of the program will be focused on technologies that make organizing events easier, enabling interaction with participants and providing added value to the event. Participants will have the chance to hear from local and foreign lecturers about the possibilities offered by virtual and augmented reality (Darian Škarica, divIT), how to connect participants at corporate events (James Morgan, EventTech Lab) and the use of technology and design in creating unforgettable events (Natalia Fuchs, Silasveta). On the first day will be held three workshops to address specific segments of the organization of events. For participants of RSVP festival, workshops are free, but the number of participants is limited, so it is necessary to save a seat as soon as possible in the hall in which the workshop will be held. The first day of the festival will end with socializing of participants in the Expo exhibition area which will showcase the latest technology in lighting, video and sound systems for events.
The second day of the festival will address the event tourism, which includes all the events developed by tourist destinations. The program will open with a lecture by Eric Bakermans from NTBC Holland, the agency responsible for the branding and marketing of the Netherlands in the world, who will talk about the destination marketing for business events. Also to be presented is the successful example of the development of tourist destinations with the help of various events. At the round table How to set Croatia on the map of event organizers, panelists will discuss Croatia’s development strategy. At the workshops, participants will be able to acquire practical knowledge about the selection of a moderator for an event and the safety aspect of event organization.
On the last day of the festival, the annual ATTEND award for the best regional events will be awarded in eight categories. Entries are open until 2 February, and all interested can register an unlimited number of events via the official website of the RSVP festival. All entries will be judged by an independent jury of five international experts and a representative of the festival, and more about the members of the jury can be found on the official website.
