Italian sportswear brand Ellesse has unveiled its first brand campaign featuring influencers such as rapper Ms Banks and actor Jessica Barden.
Ellesse selected an eclectic group of talent from the music, film and TV, skate and parkour communities to front the campaign. Talent such as afroswing artist Kojo Funds and skater-turned-model Elliott Jay Brown were dressed in the brand’s new collection but invited to style it with their own clothing, accessories and props.
Ellesse worked with creative agency Pentland to produce the campaign of bright, light-hearted shots dubbed ‘My Style Is Who I Am’.
“In the age of social media, it’s important to remember that style isn’t necessarily exclusive to how a person looks and dresses but can also be about the style in which they do what they love,” said Sara Thabet, senior brand manager at Ellesse.
“Ellesse has always been a playful, fun and bold entity; since Italian skiwear was first given a fashion focused revamp by the brand in the 1950s, right through to when we were at the forefront of the 1990s logo sportswear era. Individual style is key, and the lineup we are working with showcase this in a truly dynamic and authentic way in the AW18 campaign.”
