Ninth Effie Croatia awards were held at the Days of Communication festival in Rovinj. This year’s prestigious Effie Awards once again went to the best agencies and advertisers for outstanding market communication in the areas of creativity, strategy and market results.
This year, the Grand Prix winners and holders of the Golden Croatia Effie 2018 are Zagrebačka Pivovara, their primary agency BBDO Zagreb, Universal McCann media agency, and Degordian and Pragma Communications agencies for their work on the campaign Žuja Rules (2015-2017) that competed in the category of long-term effectiveness.
Gold Croatia Effie 2018 also went to: Dalmacijavino Split and Imago Advertising Agency and agency Jedinica i nula for campaign Boli me Pipi; Zagrebačka pivovara, agencies BBDO Zagreb, Universal McCann, Degordian and Pragma Komunikacije for the campaign Be Brave – Scratch for a Reason; and to Mylan Croatia and their agencies Señor, Advans and Centralna jedinica for the campaign Don’t Torture Yourself.
The Silver Effie Award was won by: Moms and Dads Rule campaign by Zagrebačka pivovara and their agencies BBDO Zagreb, Universal McCann and Degordian; As You Sow, So Shall You Drink by Bruketa & Žinić & Grey and Starcom / Publicis One for Heineken Croatia.
Bronze Effie winners are: Iskon Casting, by Iskon and agencies Señor, Pro Media Group, 404 and Centralna Jedinica; campaign Throwback Tunnel by Croatia Insurance and agencies Bruketa & Žinić & Grey, Brigada and Millenium Promocija; Campaign Home Internet by Tele2 and agencies Imago advertising agency and Media Polis; campaign Launch of the Old Fox – Start the Hunt and awaken Your Inner Old Fox by Heineken Croatia and agencies Publicis and Starcom / Publicis One.
Again this year Effie Croatia saw an increase in number of entries. For the ninth consecutive year, this competition that celebrates effectiveness of communication awarded the advertisers and agencies whose strategic approach, creative communication and execution of ideas made them stand out in the segment of marketing activities and achieved results.
