This year’s Effie Awards season in Serbia was officially opened with the launching of the campaign “Golden Effie is waiting for its owner”. Entries for this prestigious competition, which was held in Serbia for the first time last year, will open from 15 February.
The organizing committee of Effie Awards Serbia, with the approval of Effie Worldwide, decided at the end of 2017 that Effie Festival will be organized in the same timeframe as last year (January – June 2018). The competition brings a total of 22 categories, and eligible for application are all marketing activities that were conducted during the period 1 January – 31 December, 2017, ie the results achieved during that period.
According to Jelena Ivanovic, Executive Director of IAA, organizers once again expect great interest in the Effie competition, and especially considering the increased number of categories that were expanded after consultations with agencies.
“Since we had very good entries in the first year, I expect that we will award gold this year, because we all now have more knowledge and experience in the competition. Novelty compared to 2017 are certainly some categories, but also the extension of the jury that will be conducted in accordance with the guidelines from Effie Worldwide,” said Ivanovic.
Last year, a total of 44 works were entered, and eight awards were awarded – two silver and six bronze trophies. You can find out more on the official website http://www.effie.rs/
