The European Advertising Standards Alliance (EASA) has introduced AdEthics, a renewed and renamed version of its Influencer Marketing Standards Training (IMST) program. This new initiative is designed to help influencers and content creators across Europe clearly and confidently understand advertising rules.
AdEthics combines fast and easily accessible online training on responsible advertising practices with a certification component, which also includes continuous content monitoring. The program’s goal is to encourage greater transparency and higher ethical standards in influencer marketing.
EASA’s Director General Ludovic Basset commented: “AdEthics reflects the commitment of Europe’s self-regulatory organisations to uphold responsible influencer marketing. By combining training with ongoing certification, our network ensures that content creators are not only informed about advertising standards but are also supported in applying them consistently – building a healthier digital advertising ecosystem that benefits consumers, brands, and creators alike.”
AdEthics is currently implemented in seven countries, offering localised training to ensure creators understand the standards that apply in their markets. For more information about participating countries and to explore the programme, visit adethics.org.
