This year’s edition of the AMEC Global Communication Effectiveness Awards has opened for entries, giving communication professionals from around the world until 29 June to take advantage of Early Bird rates and submit projects that have demonstrated the business impact of communication through research, measurement and analytics.
Now in its 24th year, the competition recognises campaigns, methodologies, models, research frameworks and initiatives that move communication beyond activity reporting and demonstrate its contribution to decision-making, reputation management and the delivery of tangible results.
Agencies, in-house communication teams, research and consultancy companies, non-profit organisations, as well as regional and global brands of all sizes are eligible to enter. Organisers emphasise that the Awards are intended both for teams developing their own measurement practices and for those already delivering sophisticated international evaluation programmes.
The 2026 programme includes several groups of categories covering almost every aspect of communication measurement and evaluation.
Communication Measurement Awards recognises excellence in corporate, consumer and B2B communications, as well as projects from the public and non-profit sectors. Best Use of Measurement Awards celebrates the application of measurement in crisis communication, internal communication, social media, ESG programmes, integrated approaches and multi-market reporting. Innovation Awards focuses on organisations developing new approaches through the use of artificial intelligence, innovative methodologies, data visualisation, storytelling and thought leadership.
Regional awards will also be presented across Asia-Pacific, Europe, North America, Latin America, and the Middle East and Africa, alongside special awards dedicated to in-house communication teams, emerging talent and professionals contributing to the advancement of measurement standards within the industry.
Among the new additions for 2026 are categories reflecting the issues increasingly shaping the communication profession. These include Best Use of AI in Communication Measurement, Best Measurement of the Impact of Communication on AI Answers, Most Effective Planning, Research and Evaluation in Corporate Communication, CCO Measurement and Data Leader of the Year and CEO Measurement and Data Leader of the Year.
One of the most significant changes concerns the judging process. Organisers are introducing a model based on predefined standards of excellence, under which Gold, Silver and Bronze recognition will be awarded. Entries will not be judged against budgets, organisational size or the quality of the submission itself, but rather on the relevance, methodological rigour and proven impact of the results achieved.
AMEC has also strengthened its rules regarding data protection and confidentiality. Judges are not permitted to use artificial intelligence tools or upload entry materials into large language models, with the aim of safeguarding the integrity of the process and protecting the confidential information submitted by participants.
The Early Bird entry period remains open until 29 June 2026.
