The ninth edition of Direct Media Academy, under the title “I Have a Dream”, opens May 15 to May 18 to all who want to talk about brand strategy, communication planning, research, digital, PR, social networks, trends … in short, about everything that makes or will make the world of advertising. Innovative business and digital transformation will be topics that will be discussed by special guests of the Academy – world’s leading experts who have left and are still leaving their mark in the communications world. They are Faris Yakob, co-founder of the nomadic agency for strategic and innovation counseling Genius/Steals which collaborates with brands, agencies and startups around the world, as well as Jonas Kjellberg, one of the creators of Skype.
Answers to the questions where the world of advertising is going, and what steps are ahead of us in the near future, will be given by the first module “Branding and Marketing Strategy” which will be led by Mitja Tuškej, CEO of Direct Media Slovenia. The program is intended for marketing enthusiasts and branding professionals, with the goal of empowering participants in their efforts to catch the new wave and tackle the trends in intimate communication between the brand and its target group.
How to successfully convey a message, create an integrated campaign, and foster communication with people – will be revealed in the second module titled “Communication Planning”. The goal of this module that will be led by Marija Matić, Media Planning Director at Direct Media Serbia, is to put the spotlight on modern communication and communication methods: from traditional mass media to hyperindividualization and people as media. There will be talk of two-way communication in the fragmented world of advertising: is it possible, and if yes, what is the method for success? This program is intended for advertising professionals and anyone who wants to learn how and where to advertise, in order to maximize their results.
How do dreams turn into reality? We will learn the answer to this question first hand on May 18th, on the fourth, Festival day of the Direct Media Academy, which is reserved for Farisa Yakob, marketing consultant with innovation expertise who is resolved to live his dream, and Jonas Kjellberg, who probably never dreamed that a dream would change the world of (tele)communications. They will bring us a story about “game changers”, the road we need to go through in order to innovate and digitally transform business. They will also give us answers to the questions why some companies, marketing agencies and individuals are more innovative than others today, and how to learn from them and realize our dreams.
