Following the successful launch of the Digital Takeover platform in 2015, organizer 24Sata is announcing the first regional Digital Takeover Conference which will take place in Zagreb on 14 March 2017, at Cinestar Zagreb, Branimir center. Digital Takeover is the largest regional digital conference whose mission is to transform the regional digital scene through the exchange of practical knowledge and skills with the presentation of trends by leading global and regional digital experts. The conference has the ambition to become a central meeting place for decision-makers and digital experts in the region.
Reason for organizing this conference is the fact that Croatian and regional advertisers don’t follow their customers’ needs, although Croats are a proven digital nation with an average of 7 hours a day spent online (source: IAB Croatia, CROMediascope), while only 12% of investment of media budgets go to digital advertising (latest available data – source: HURA AdEx 2015). Digital Takeover conference aims to raise awareness of the importance of investing in digital advertising, and increase the overall percentage of investment in digital. For comparison, investments in digital in the United States in 2016 amounted to 38% of total advertising budgets, while in the United Kingdom share of digital has surpassed half of all advertising investment, with 51% (source: WARC data; Adstats, McKinsey & Company, 2016. ).
Some of the topics that presenters and panelists of the conference will cover are digital transformation, content marketing, native advertising, influencers, big data, video, and many others, and along with panel discussions and lectures, the conference program will include workshops led by experts in digital marketing, who are also lecturers with extensive experience in the higher education institution Algebra.
Digital Takeover platform was launched in March 2015 as a series of smaller lectures, but in the last two years about a dozen events and small conferences were organized within it, which brought together over a thousand participants and digital experts.
