The shortlist has been announced for the Clio Entertainment Awards 2026, a competition recognising creativity in marketing, advertising and communications across film, television, streaming, gaming and live entertainment. The programme was established in 1971 by The Hollywood Reporter and now operates within the Clio awards system, in which international juries determine the recipients of Bronze, Silver, Gold and Grand Clio awards.
Slovenian studio Digital Da Vincis has been shortlisted for Aljoša on the brain train in the Broadcast TV section, in the Original Content / Creative Content category. The hybrid AI documentary, created in partnership with ARTE France, explores neurodiversity through the story of Kirill Karnovich-Valua, the studio’s founder and creative director, and his son Aljoša, both of whom live with ADHD. The film aims to help audiences understand their experience and contribute to reducing stigma. According to the studio’s announcement, the Slovenian premiere is planned for late October, while the multilingual online release is expected by the end of the year.
Last year, the studio won a Bronze Clio Entertainment award for Alternate Re[AI]lity, developed for the PEEK&POKE Computer Museum in Rijeka. Karnovich-Valua sees the latest shortlist placement as confirmation of continuity: “I think it is important that work from our Adriatic region is beginning to gain recognition and attract attention on the international stage, including Hollywood itself!”, he said.
From Serbia, Matchcutter has been shortlisted for One Motion Sequence in the Streaming section, in the Audio Visual Craft / Editing category. Editor Nikita Didenko connected scenes from more than 50 films released in 2025 into a continuous 49-second sequence. Movement, rhythm and sound design create transitions between different film stories, with the work edited frame by frame, without automation or generative artificial intelligence.
The awards ceremony will take place on November 19 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, and the complete shortlist is available in the official Clio gallery.
