Diesel last week announced it had moved its advertising account from Anomaly to Publicis Italy, and it didn’t take long for the first ad from new agency to roll out.
The ad embraces flawed beauty, featuring models with tattoos, bad skin, unibrows, braces and so on.
The ad titled „Go with the Flaw“ was directed by Francis Rousselet, who has worked on music videos for the likes of Madonna and Snoop Dogg, and the photographs for the billboard and print part of the campaign were done by Tom Sloan.
“Being unique is much more beautiful than being perfect,” explained Diesel‘s Artistic Director Nicola Formichetti, whose casting approach aimed to find “fascinating-looking people with interesting features“ according to the brand.
The campaign promotes the 2017 Fall Winter campaign.
