The entire communications industry in Croatia and in the region these days is staying in Rovinj, for the fifth edition of the festival Days of Communication. Festival will this year treat its audience with some of the world’s biggest names in the field of marketing communications, which is probably the reason why festival has recorded as much as 40 percent more visitors than last year! The first day of the festival is marked by a lecture of Chuck Porter, one of the legends in the advertising industry, whom Inc. Magazine included on its “26 Most Fascinating Entrepreneurs”. He was also received in the “Hall of Fame” of the American Advertising Federation. Porter will reveal to visitors in Rovinj how to create brands in imagination, popular culture and everyday risking.

In addition to Porter, Days of Communication are also bringing to Rovinj the co-founder of The Pirate Bay, Peter Sunde who will talk about responsibility and power in sharing of content in the digital world. The Rovinj audience will also meet the American PR wizard Alex Brown, who is in Croatia best known as a consultant of the Croatian Social Democratic Party – SDP. Days of communication this year are extended from two to three days, and over these three days, in addition to lectures, there will also be the award ceremonies for Effie, IdejaX, Mixx and Young Lions Croatia competitions, but also the inevitable Rovinj parties and concerts. Days of Communication, with its high quality program and lecturers, as well as creative and entertaining accompanying content, each year attracts an increasing number of participants, partners and media. Research of the festival organizers, Croatian Association of Communications Agencies – HURA, shows that 97 percent of the participants are repeat visitors to the festival, and 98 percent would recommend it to colleagues.
“Days of Communication is an event where the whole communications industry gathers for a few days in Rovinj. There is games and entertainment here, as well as learning and sharing of experiences, which is actually the most important part of the festival. Communications industry is changing very rapidly and therefore it is necessary to keep track of the best in this business who will inform us with the current trends, but also to announce the changes to come,” explained the director of the festival Dunja Ivana Ballon, while Damir Ciglar, member of the organizing committee of the festival, added that the Days of Communication provide an ideal environment even for business people who are not necessarily concerned with communication, because the communication industry is closely linked with all business objectives and results.
