Within Croatia’s central advertising festival, the Days of Communication, the prestigious Croatia Effies were awarded this weekend for the most effective ad campaigns. This year a total of 36 works competed for the prestigious awards, and Grand Prix and a gold award went to the Zagreb Brewery, the primary agency BBDO Zagreb and media agency Universal McCann for their campaign “Dijalekti” (“Dialects”).
Silver went to campaign “Erste cash loans online” of Erste Bank, the primary agency Grey Worldwide Zagreb and Utorak. Biro za propaganda, and media agency MediaCom Central Europe Zagreb; and to campaign “Nevjernici” of the Croatian Telecom, primary agency McCann Zagreb and media agency MediaCom Central Europe Zagreb.
Campaigns that this year claimed the bronze are “Simpa kokice – Prži kako hoćeš!” of the Croatian Telecom, primary agency BBDO Zagreb and media agency MediaCom Central Europe Zagreb; then campaign “Komšija” of AutoZubak, primary agency Bruketa & Žinić OM and Brandoctor and media agency Pro media group; and the campaign “mHepi” of HEP, primary agency McCann Zagreb and Fahrenheit and media agency Real Group.
The most successful agency of this year’s Effie competition per awards won was BBDO Zagreb with the Grand Prix, one gold and one silver, followed by agency McCann Zagreb with one silver and one bronze.
Croatia Effie 2016 and the most effective marketing campaigns were judged by a jury composed of the most experienced marketing professionals in Croatia – representatives of advertisers, creative and media agencies, media companies and market research agencies, headed by Kristijan Gregorić from Franck.
Croatian edition of the Effie competition is organized by HURA (Croatian Association of Communications Agencies), per global license of Effie Worldwide organization. Effie Awards are presented since 1968 on the global and European level (Global Effie and Euro Effie), and at national competitions in over 40 countries around the world, which were joined by Croatia in 2009. In more than 40 years, Effie Awards have become an international symbol of marketing effectiveness.
