For the second year in a row, Coca-Cola has treated the local public in Serbia with an exclusive, limited edition of bottles, designed by a team of six local artists, inspired by the virtues and characters recognizable to the people from Serbia.
Through another collaboration with local authors, Coca-Cola has once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting local artists and participating in the development of alternative cultural scene in Serbia. At the same time, through these projects, Coca-Cola brings the field of applied design closer to the general public, because each bottle represents a kind of artwork.
After last year’s series of bottles that were inspired by the sensations that occur when drinking Coca-Cola, fans of this beverage now have a chance for an even better experience of Coca-Cola thanks to the bottles dedicated to some of the most recognizable traits of the people in Serbia. Traditional hospitality, resourcefulness, creativity, love of music and good fun, a sense of closeness and unity are just some of the qualities that inspired Nemanja Jehličko, Monika Lang, Aleksandar Savić, Vesna Pešić, Petar Popović Piros and EmaEmaEma to come up with six unique and authentic Coca-Cola bottles.
“For 50 years now Coca-Cola is a domestic product in Serbia, and each of us has at least one memory acquired in the course of growing up and living in Serbia, in which Coca-Cola certainly played a role. This idea, that our young talented artists give their own view on the most beautiful characteristics of people from our country, arose from the desire to provide local value in everything we do. We had a desire to show the work of some of the promising young artists through an unexpected art form – bottles of Coca-Cola – and to give them space to display their talent. We hope we have succeeded and that our fans this summer will really enjoy the unique Coca-Cola experience,” said Tanja Petrović, Marketing Manager of Coca-Cola Serbia.
