Laško Challenge, the biggest challenge this summer, brought together Neno Belan, Halid Bešlić and Željko Joksimović, three iconic figures of the Balkans music scene, and put them in a Slovenian cafe where only one bottle of Laško is left, and they decided to fight for it using what they know best – singing their hit songs. Thus, passersby in the square in Ljubljana were delighted with the opportunity to dance to Željko’s song ‘Milimetar‘, they were touched by Halid’s ‘Miljacka’ and Neno’s ‘Sunčan dan’ raised the spirits and positive energy.
“I admit, I never thought would ‘cross’ microphones with Željko and Halid. We are all well-known and acclaimed musicians, but every one in our own field. However, as many books say, miracles can happen, which proved to be true in this case, to my huge delight and satisfaction. After working together with them, with a lot of laughter, good vibrations and mutual respect and understanding, I’m sure I have two new extraordinary friends for life,” said Neno Belan.
Halid Bešlić has long worked with Željko Joksimovic, who composed two hits for him – Miljacka and Sijede. Halid has only words of praise for Željko and Neno, and regards them as the top musicians: “Why did I accept Laško’s challenge? Simply, you should never pass on a good story. The reason is top-notch production, which is felt in every segment of the campaign.”
Željko was happy when he realized with whom he would be working: “I’m proud that we are colleagues. The idea that music connects us is the challenge for me in this whole story,” Joksimović said.
And asked “if life was a song, in which verse would it fit?” Neno, Halid and Željko said:
NENO: … I always walk on that side where sun gives me warmth, and I always tell myself: my beautiful life – my heart laugh…
HALID: Who would have thought that miracles can happen.
ŽELJKO: My favorite … there’s something in the fact that you don’t want me.
