At the festival Days of Communication, which this year in Rovinj attracted a record number of 2,200 visitors from the country and the region, in addition to Ideja X and Young Lions awards, the awards Effie and MIXX for the best and most effective digital campaigns in Croatia in the past year were presented.
A total of 51 projects competed for the prestigious award for outstanding and effective market communications, Effie, which is an increase of over 40% compared to last year. Grand Prix and the Gold Effie Croatia went to the Zagreb Brewery, primary agency BBDO Zagreb, media agency Universal McCann and agency Degordian, for their campaign “Scratch for a reason”. Zagreb Brewery also won a Gold Effie for the campaign “Our places rule”, done by BBDO Zagreb as primary agency, media agency Universal McCann and agency Degordian. Gold Effie also went to the hands of Iskon Internet, and their primary agency Señor and the media agency Mediacom for campaign “Even the Rich Cry”.
Silver awards went to the campaign “Bring me Domaćica” done for the company Kraš by their primary and media agency Real Group, and Joomboose Videostar of the publishing house 24 Sata, their agency Projektil, and advertising agency Imago.
Campaigns that this year claimed the bronze were the “Rollover” of the Croatian Telecom, done by McCann Zagreb as the primary agency and media agency MediaCom Central Europe Zagreb; then the campaign “Win a Fićo in a café” done for the Atlantic Group by the primary agency Fahrenheit and media agency Atlantic media; “Who says I can’t. I CAN WITH ZABA” done for Zagrebačka banka by the primary agency Real Grupa and media agency MediaCom Central Europe Zagreb; “Christmas campaign: Escape” done for Tele2 by the agency Imago and media agency Media Polis; “Shake&Take” for Coca-Cola Adria, by the primary agency McCann Zagreb and media agency Universal McCann; “Your throat is your strength” for Krka-pharm, by the primary agency Imago and media agency Mediacom Central Europe Zagreb; “Signal White Now Glossy Chic” for Unilever Croatia by primary and media agency Mindshare.
Under the slogan “Ideas That Work”, Effie awards celebrate the most significant achievements in marketing communications based on the criteria of efficiency, ie. based on the successful return on funds invested in marketing campaigns.
MIXX Award “Best in Show” which is awarded for the most creative and most effective work in online advertising went to the agency Digitalist for their campaign Find Refuge in H1, for client H1 Telekom. MIXX awards were also awarded in the category of Brand awareness – “Out Of Office Awards 2016” of the agency BBDO Zagreb and Grayling for the Croatian Tourist Board.
