One of the associations in which the I&F McCann Group is active since the very beginning through membership of its managers is the Serbian Association of Managers (SAM). This business association is focused on improving and promoting the profession of managers in Serbia, with the active influence on economic policy makers in order to create better conditions for business and economic development in Serbia. As of this year, I&F McCann Group is a member of the Premium Club “Friends SAM” that represents a unique mode of partnership by providing special support to the development of the association and its members, and thus the wider business community. Club Friends SAM gathers the most successful companies that come from all sectors of the economy such as banking, consulting, marketing and PR, IT and telecommunications, FMCG and services sector.
“The common denominator of the companies that are members of this club is that they have clearly built and developed modern and high business standards, and that they are leaders in their industries. I&F McCann Group is recognized as a leading company in the field of marketing and communications, as confirmed by the SAM award for Regional Project of the Year, so it is logical that we have become a member of the Friends SAM club,” said Tijana Škorić Tomić, Executive Director of I&F McCann Group and added: “Through participation in the activities and work of SAM, transferring their best practices and business values of their corporate system, member companies of the club promote ethical business principles, encourage the further professionalization of the managerial profession, influence the further strengthening and networking of managers and thus further contribute to the general improvement of the business environment in Serbia.”
I& F McCann Group thus participated in the Working Group for drafting the Law on Advertising, and is actively working on the process of self-regulation of the profession in Serbia. In addition to business and professional associations, it is notably represented at various meetings, conferences, festivals and events, as well as cooperation with a variety of educational and cultural institutions.
“Projects such as McCann Parobrodiranje, which are implemented in collaboration with Cultural Institution Parobrod, or the I&F McCann Corner, in collaboration with the American Corner Belgrade, represent innovative forms of cooperation with the wider community. Through these events a great number of exhibitions, lectures, panel discussions and workshops were organized mainly for young people, students and entrepreneurs … Our goal is to constantly work on education as part of a planned commitment to invest in the development of the profession, but also the wider community,” Tijana Škorić Tomić concluded.
A unique form of education of the general public was also achieved with successful cooperation with the daily Danas, where in the framework of the joint project Marketing & Advertising, through editorials, analysis and interviews, the profession and prominent individuals in the field of communication were promoted. Special attention is given to activities in the field of social responsibility in which the I&F McCann Group independently, as well as with partners, supported or implemented dozens of socially-responsible and humanitarian projects and activities.
