The Cresta Awards, launched in 1993 by Creative Standards International to honor an absolute standard of creative excellence in advertising and marketing communications, announced the finalists in its 26th annual worldwide competition.
Among the 177 projects in the finals of this renowned global competition are 4 projects of Croatian agency Bruketa&Žinić&Grey. Namely, the projects that are competing for this prestigious award are “The Tunnel” created in collaboration with Brigada and Millenium promocija agencies for Croatia Insurance, “Nikola” brochure, “Openness” annual report for Adris Group and “Nature Doesn’t Have Time For You Today” for WWF Adria.
The Cresta Awards cover twelve major competitions: TV/Cinema/Online Film, Integrated Campaigns, Press, Outdoor, Ambient Media, Direct Marketing, Radio, Design, Promotions & Incentives, Branded Entertainment, Crafts and Interactive. Work is judged on the basis of two criteria only: the originality of the creative idea and the quality of its execution. A Grand Prix will be awarded to the highest scoring entries that achieve a pre-determined standard (above a ‘set’ score).
McCann, New York has the highest number of works in the shortlist – whopping forty eight finalists, spread across almost all the competitions.
From the 51 countries participating in this year’s awards, 22 achieved finalist status. A total of 177 ads, campaigns and Interactive entries were chosen by the Cresta Grand Jury consisting of 81 top creatives. This jury also selected the winners and was chaired by Gigi Lee, Chief Creative Officer, TBWA\Group Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur. ‘Winners’ will be announced on Monday, Oct. 15th.
