Bruketa&Zinic OM, one of the Adriatic region’s most highly-awarded creative agencies, announced that it has reached an agreement with the world’s largest communications services group WPP about their investment in the agency. This is the first investment of this kind in Croatia. Bruketa&Zinic OM will work as part of WPP’s Grey Group under the name Bruketa&Zinic&Grey. Grey Zagreb will merge with the company and all other Grey agencies in the region will operate under the same name. Davor Bruketa and Nikola Žinić will continue to lead the agency.

Bruketa&Zinic OM explain this agreement is expected to be implemented by July 2017 at the latest, announcing they will inform the public upon its full realization. The implementation of the agreement will strengthen WPP’s position in the region, and will provide Bruketa&Zinic OM with new opportunities in over 40 markets where WPP operates.

James R. Heekin III, Chairman and CEO of Grey Group, said, “We are delighted to have Bruketa&Zinic as our partners. This deal represents another step forward in expanding Grey Europe’s capabilities and critical mass in the important Adriatic region.”

Alain Groenendaal, President and CEO of Grey Europe, said, “We have been monitoring Bruketa&Zinic’s development ever since Advertising Age recognized them as the International Small Agency of the Year. We’re very excited about their potential and the opportunities we will have together.”

Davor Bruketa, Partner in Bruketa&Zinic OM, said “WPP’s interest and investment is good news for the creative industry in this region. We have discussed ways to create new value together with our new partners for quite a while. Of course, we are interested in the tools and insights of WPP’s global network, but more than that, we believe in the potential of formal and informal networking across the globe. It’s a great opportunity for us and our clients. From our founding, our growth has resulted from partnering with innovative companies and talented and ambitious individuals. Joining the WPP network gives us the chance to expand our boundaries again.”

Nikola Zinic, Partner in Bruketa&Zinic OM, said, “Ever since we have placed digital at the heart of our integrated communications process it has resulted in tremendous growth for us, winning accounts for Addiko Bank, Coca-Cola and VIPnet last year alone. We see that joining WPP’s global network will be equally impactful and transformative in our growth and success. Their faith in our potential will give us credibility on markets we weren’t present before.”
