The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS) was founded in 1998 in New York. Its mission is to foster the creative, technical, purposeful, and professional advancement of the internet and evolving forms of digital media. Members of the Academy are leading industry experts who work to enhance digital media, and membership is by invitation only. Some of the members include: Suzana Apelbaum, Head of Creative at Google; Casey Acierno, Social Impact Lead at Spotify; Jonathan Adashek, Chief Communications Officer at IBM; Anusha Alikhan, Vice President of Communications at the Wikimedia Foundation; Samiri Ansari, CCO at Ogilvy New York; and Azher Ahmed, Director of Digital at DDB, among others.
Davor Bruketa, creative director and co-founder of the agency Bruketa&Žinić&Grey, has been invited to become an executive member of the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences. He also participated, along with 150 global experts, in the creation of the ‘In Collaboration’ report.
The report provides a comprehensive overview exploring the key role of collaboration in the digital industry, particularly in the context of creating innovative and successful projects. It thoroughly examines how collaborative efforts between creative agencies, technology platforms, and brands can result not only in visually impressive and technically advanced campaigns but also in achieving measurable business goals. The report emphasizes the importance of synergy between different expertise and perspectives, which is often crucial for achieving excellence in digital projects. Through practical examples, the ‘In Collaboration’ report demonstrates how successful collaborations enhance creativity and strengthen brand positions in the market, allowing them to stand out in an increasingly dynamic and competitive digital environment.
This prestigious academy also organizes three major international competitions. The Webby Awards, founded in 1996, recognize and reward excellence on the internet, covering websites, online advertising, various video formats, mobile apps, social media, and numerous other segments. They are considered the Oscars of the internet for setting standards of quality and excellence and encouraging innovation. Companies that win these awards often become industry leaders, inspiring others with their outstanding projects. The Lovie Awards recognize internet excellence in the fields of culture, technology, and business, with a focus on Europe. The Anthem Awards honor the work of people, companies, and organizations worldwide that are driven by purpose and mission.
