First Effie Awards Serbia announced their first winners last week, at the Hotel Radisson Blu Old Mill Belgrade. In front of about 150 guests, representatives of the marketing industry, two silver and six bronze trophies were awarded to the most successful campaigns realized in the period from 1 July 2015 to 31 December 2016.
Among the winners was FCB Afirma from Belgrade, which won a bronze trophy for the campaign “One circle around the cup”, done for the client Grand Prom and their coffee brand Grand Kafa Gold. Criteria for awards were very precise and clear, and in competition with 16 finalists there were no gold awards. Effies are a prestigious global competition, renowned among advertisers and agencies as award that highlights the effectiveness of communication, and is awarded to those who stand behind successful marketing campaigns which have achieved or exceeded the objectives set. Effie award is a recognition for all those who solve challenges that were put before their brands and companies.
When ranking campaigns for Effie awards, all forms of marketing communications that have contributed to the success of a brand are taken into consideration. Therefore, the Effie award is evidence that the campaign “One circle around the cup” achieved excellent results for the client and the brand.
Also, Effie award is special because it takes into account the whole process of communication work: strategic planning, market research, creative ideas and the use of media. This award is therefore a clear confirmation that in this case, strategic planning and creative concept of the agency led to significant results.
