Borut Pahor, former President of Slovenia and Slovenia’s “King of Instagram,” becomes Medex ambassador

The former Slovenian president announced on social media platforms X and Instagram that he signed a one-year cooperation contract with the Medex brand. How did this collaboration come about?

“When I recently decided to monetize my social media accounts, which in the last two weeks also included TikTok, I was choosing between advertisers, mostly from abroad,” Borut Pahor told his followers on Instagram. He added that he actually wanted to collaborate with a reputable Slovenian company with global ambitions, whose brand would fit his lifestyle. “Among the three I contacted was Medex. Just when I almost thought they weren’t interested, they got back to me. They thought it was spam or some kind of joke,” he explained, adding that in his opinion Medex is “the king among products for a healthy lifestyle and sports.”

The potential of the former president was recognized by the organizers of “Dan_d” years ago

On March 16, 2023, Marketing Magazine hosted the former president at the ‘Dan_d’ event. They noted that it is true that in politics he has achieved everything most valuable and worth being elected by the majority: he was the Speaker of the National Assembly, Prime Minister, President of the Republic, and the “King of Instagram.”

At that time, Marketing Magazine also asked him why Instagram is “his” platform.

“Not exactly. For a more comprehensive shaping of my public image as a politician, I necessarily needed Twitter (X) and Facebook as well – besides the website, of course. The website was like the official gazette, Twitter was the medium for more serious content, Instagram was the yellow press – but very valuable. And Facebook was a bit of everything,” he said.
