Breast cancer reserach has shown that women often simply forget to check their breasts regularly, which is a life-saving method that can significantly help in early detection and treatment of breast cancer. Knowing that people sometimes just need a reminder, CP&B London created a very unusual product for U.K. breast cancer charity, CoppaFeel.
Enter, BoobSoap, a boob-shaped soap that lasts for 30 days, and the idea is that when it runs out it reminds you to check your breasts again.
BoobSoap is currently available in three different designs via the project website, at a cost of $11.77 after an initial short run was produced at-cost by London-based artisan soap-maker Soapsmith. However, CP&B is in talks to have it stocked at boutique retailers, and hopes eventually to sell it in major chains and department stores.
CoppaFeel! will also promote the BoobSoap idea as part of its annual #ShowerHijack campaign, where the charity ‘hijacks’ communal bathrooms at universities, gym chains and yoga studios across the U.K. with a range of awareness raising materials.
