The BIP Beer production – once the most popular beer in Serbia and the region – has been restored after the M6-Eden SRB company launched technical cooperation with Belgrade’s beer industry. It is expected that by the end of this month, all BIP products will be available to consumers throughout Serbia. The BIP beer, which for decades was the symbol of the capital city and one of the best-selling beers in the whole Balkans, is still produced where it was originally created – in the brewery at the so-called Mostar loop.
The BIP Beer has retained a recognizable label and character, and with its sleek look, good taste, and aroma of malt and hop. It has preserved a valuable tradition, but is produced by more modern technology.
“We paid special attention to the quality control of all segments of production,” said Aleksandar Popovski, director of M6-Eden Serbia. Popovski emphasizes that, in cooperation with partners, BIP Beer will be available again on majority of the market in Serbia, and by the end of this year, in the markets in the region where it was also sold more than a quarter of a century ago.
“The task of reviving the beer, which is woven into the decades-old tradition and customs of this society, is a great honor for us, as well as responsibility, and therefore we invest a lot of energy and expertise in order to make this mission more successful and give consumers the beer they expect,” Popovski added.
“The first public reaction to the news of restart in production has shown that BIP is by no means a plain beer brand,” said Jovan Birač, director and one of the founders of Agency Birač Communications, the official advertising & PR agency for BIP Beer. “The news of BIP Beer has spread unusually fast through the traditional media and social networks, and the number of comments and their tone have shown that there is a lot of emotions in each bottle beside beer, which is at the same time the greatest virtue and the biggest flaw of that brand,” added Jovan Birač, saying that it is a great challenge and honor to be a part of the team working on reviving such an important brand as BIP Beer.
