Ivan Čepelak is the new creative director at McCann Zagreb. Čepelak is a very skilled expert who spent the past 11 years, first as a copywriter and then as a creative director, in Bruketa&Žinić&Grey.
“Ivan is a very big boost to our team, as a creative and as a person,” said of Čepelak’s arrival Daniel Vukovic, chief creative officer at McCann Zagreb. “He brings to the agency outstanding knowledge and experience. Smart and calm, open and positive – he is an ideal person for McCann where all the employees are friends.”
So far, Čepelak has worked on numerous projects and campaigns that have won the Effie and Ideja X awards, and in 2011, at the Day of Judgment, he was declared copywriter of the year. “I always appreciated a truth well-told. I am glad that I will now be on the side of those who create it.” This was Čep’s first statement in the role of Creative Director in the new agency, to which he brings the experience of campaigns and projects for clients of the likes of Karlovačka pivovara, Croatia Insurance, Vip, Adris group, Podravka, Franck…
“I look forward to the positive and inspirational atmosphere which has been the buzz of our little advertising world for some time now, and I look forward to working on new and successful projects. After all – I’m becoming part of the Croatian Agency of the Year. Nuff said!” concludes Čep, and at the end reveals his life motto (“Do unto others as you would have them do to you”), but also his creative motto (“Do what you don’t want others to do”.)
