An ironic, hi-tech short that brings a style icon of the likes of Fiat 500X into the iconic world of the Back to the Future: Fiat 500X – Taste of Tomorrow, signed by Leo Burnett (Starcom media), is the most popular ad of 2018 on YouTube in Italy.
The short film achieved great popularity on YouTube thanks to the participation of the American actor Christopher Lloyd (Doc Brown). At the time of writing this article, the video has almost 29 million views.
Every year, YouTube celebrates brand creativity with the YouTube Ads Leaderboard, which identifies the top ten most popular ads per country, using the most significant popularity indicators expressed by users, such as the number of views and shares on other sites.
The interest in advertising on YouTube in Italy is reflected in the results of the country for this year: with a total of 85 million views, compared to 45 million in 2017, the 2018 advertising leaderbord almost doubled in value over the previous year.
